Hi everyone. I purchased a QB 288 X2 setup from Alibaba/meijiu lighting. It came with a standalone potentiometer that i wired up to to the Driver and has an independent power plug.

My issue is that every time my light power cycles, the potentiometer gets reset to off which is 10%. The potentiometer is powered independently and not on the timer circuit. The only way I can currently use the light is at 100% by unplugging the potentiometer so it had no power going to it.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Have you tried plugging both the pot and drivers in in timed circuit. Could be a fail safe on the pot and it's detecting zero load and going into (limp mode) or something to that effect
Cheers!

Yeah. That's how I had it setup initially. Both the dimmer and light into a power strip into a digital timer. Second setup was light into power strip into timer with dimmer plugged directly into an outlet (on all the time).

Now I just have the dimmer unplugged and it's at 100% but I need to dim.

Dimmer works and adjusts but Is always set to 0 after the timer cycles.

Very strange. Maybe try using a rapid Led 1-10v dimmer? Less than $10 shipped. The thing about Alibaba is, you hardly ever get what is advertised.
Cheers!

Thanks for the info. Aby ideas why the dimmer that came with my setup has a power connector as well? Maybe has to do with the remote control?
