How to remove wires

I’m doing a build with bridgelux eb Gen 2. I went to wire the strips and my 22 gauge wire was too short. I cannot seem to remove the wire out of the connector on the strips. How do you get them out? I broke a wire trying to get it out. I can grab it with tweezers thank god. But how do I remove it. Do you just pull? Cause that didn’t work
Are you pressing down on the tab on the connector?
