I found a connector that I think will safely let me mount my driver remotely and feed the DC through a plywood wall to my light. It is hot pluggable, too.

Socket:

Edit: bit.ly links were not working...

Very interesting find on Mouser, JGG.

Most would argue that Wagos are a pretty quick connection to make and break.
Pretty quick for sure. No strain relief or waterproof/resistance though.
If I just hit "reply" on a thread topic from say page 2, I'm not able to quote posts from earlier pages...there must be a way?

somehow I did find something on Mouser that looks like it is a quick connect that they use for telecommunication applications that would fit the power needs... seems expensive.. but then again it looks like they are used where quality matters!

little question. On my amazon wish list I have a similar connector but in the description they only talk about ac 220v/20A. Can I suppose it is ok for dc voltage?
that's what has me puzzled... does it have to be DC? or can it be AC? or do they make ones that handle both? this is where my stoner electrical knowledge is lacking 😄
I have this question as well. I should probably know though. Lol.

Wago Winsta is the best that can be used...

Cool, another option. Someone should make a list, for these remote driver applications. I call "not it". Lol.

Here's what I'm lookin' at getting https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06WG ... AFWM&psc=1

For the AC side, I've decided, because I think much to bulky to have dangling from a slate 2 Double. Lol. Better than the style that comes with the DIY kits, which can't be disconnected (quickly) without unscrewing either connection side and unscrewing the wire terminals. These looks great.

EDIT: Because the did indeed update the specs:

"Specification:
Voltage: 250V
Current: ≤25A
Breakdown voltage: ≥ 1500V
Protection class: IP67
Operating temperature: - 40 ℃ - 105 ℃"

Here's what I'm considering for the DC side at the heatsink (to my extended driver output cord):

Sorry for the long post (I'm totally not though). :D
Peace.

Yea. Why what kinda monster setup do you have going; how many amps?
I found good connectors on alibaba, but I'm not waiting for 40 days from China or whatever right now - nor wanting to buy 30 sets. Lol.

and even better I think:

a hlg480h-54b is 8.9a.. hlg600h-54b is 11.2 😁 I like running bigger single over smaller multiple drivers for some reason 😄

Ohh I hadn't even looked at their current ratings before. Dayum! Haha. Those amazon connectors I linked would work perfect though (only for up to 250v, or 80% of that, whatever one is comfortable with). Also, the smaller ones from alibaba would as well.

I like the idea someone suggested of having multiple, lesser drivers, for redundancy. Though I mostly bought them (with the kits at least) because someone mentioned that I'd get more out of two kits at 285watts max each, than I would with a 550 (480h). Couple other reasons too. But I love that we have these configuration *options*. :)
