Improve cheap lights

Hi all this is my 1at post so be nice please So is it possible to mod a cheap LED grow light such as changing drivers or something to make them useful

You can always open it up and see what the driver is, and use that driver for strips or cobs.

It really depends what kind of cheap lights you have. You might be able to reuse the driver, as sdfoster22 suggested, but you might also be able to use part of the fixture, heatsinking, fans, and even the PCB, depending upon what you have. I've considered doing this with a blurple LED panel I have, but it works well enough as is for vegging.

I ask because my plants are struggling in the heat as I'm using a 600w Hps
Dual spec bulb and i hoped there was a cheap easy fix

How come you’re asking to mod a LED light when you’re using an HPS? Do you currently have a LED light that you tried using instead of the HPS?
