which driver do I want

I'd like to build a small fixture for clones to use in a 20"x36" space. I was thinking of using a single 2 foot LT-F564B. I'd like to be able to add a second strip in the future. which driver would I want? I've used the selection tool but I'm still not sure if I want an A driver or B driver. and do I want a driver capable of running at 100%? also would this strip be ideal for what I want to do?

I dont think you add/take away strips from a driver.

You make the build according to driver/strip ratings.

For me, i just bought 4 x 5000k Samsung double row strips 2 foot.
1 x HLG240 48A.

for an 80cm x 80cm area for clones/Veg.
Im making the build with future-proof in mind, so a little over kill but have the option to run at 50% so only 120W.

For you, if you like, 2 x Samsung Strips Double Row, i believe should be ok on an HLG120 48.

There's another way to approach this. First determine how much power you want in the space, as that will dictate what LEDs you will need.

You mentioned it's for clones, so is this a veg-only light? If so, then ballpark wattage for that space would be 25*(20x36)/144=125watts.

Meanwell happens to make the HLG-120H drivers.

A single LT-F564B can handle, roughly, 50watts.

Take the HLG-120H-48 driver, dim it to half power (1.25A) with one strip. Crank it up to full power with two (or more, get that spread!) strips.

ya it would a veg only light. so I was going to do cloning and a bit of early veg in there then move them to a 4x4 after that and finish veg and switch to flower. so I just want enough power to do that. does my two LT-F564B idea sound about right for that?

One strip can work, two is better, more is best.

2 single row strips would be better in a 20x36 if possible. Unless your just trying to light half the space until the upgrade. And you can definitely add strips later if you get a driver with headroom.

Ok well i may aswell just do (3) 2 foot LT-F564B strips and call it a day....which CC driver can i use for this?
thanks

HLG-120H-48. A or B up to you.

so with 3 strips id be maxed at 120w right? would it be advisable to run an HLG-185H-C1050? so i can run at the full 150 watts if needed? also would a constant voltage driver be better?

3 LT-F564B strips on the HLG-120H-48 would run at 113watts.
On the HLG-185H-C1030, 144watts, a poor fit.
On the HLG-150H-48: 147W
