I tried looking thru cutter first.. but they only have bigger ac / dc drivers... a mean well LPC-20-700 https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/ ... ND/7704818 or a APC-25-700 https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/ ... ND/7702576 would work great.. both run between $12-$13UD thru digikey.

on the sheet it's saying you will need minimal heat sinking when it is running at 27.5V 700ma.. simple C or L aluminum should work.. a 1" heatsink would be better if you can get it cheap..

Thanks for the reply.... Ordering from two places is a bit of a killer for postage. Would getting two strips give me a option to get a driver from cutters? Sorry for my lack of knowledge

I totally understand.. but, if you by chance are in the U.S., the $9 flat rate thru digikey plus one of those other two drivers would still be cheaper than what I'm seeing thru cutter... if your down under, or outside the states.. then yeah, it doesn't make sense 😁

cheapest option that I am noticing thru cutter, would be a a.c. to dc switching power supply to a dc to dc ldd type driver.. it would be able to power from 1 to up to 3 of those strips.. or strips with similar V / ma draw

this would require the LRS-75-36 https://www.cutter.com.au/product/lrs-75-36/ as a base and a a.c. power cord..
if your only going to run a single strip, I would say get a wired 700ma version of one of these https://www.cutter.com.au/product/cue-48/ ... you could thermal tape it to the what ever you use as a heatsink, then run the wires from it to other driver and the strip.. done.

if you ever think you might expand / or plan on using 3 multi spectrum strips, get the pinned 700ma version, along with https://www.cutter.com.au/product/coralux-ldd-5/ it's a multi driver board for your up to 3 strip available from the a.c. driver.. that will also make things neater and easier for dimming.. if you ever want to dim supplemental strips in the future..
