How much light should I be using

I have four (HLG Qb 288 v2 Rspec with heat sinks) wired in parallel to a Meanwell HLG-600H-54AB driver this thing will put out an incredible amount of light. I have it in a 2ft. by 5ft. closet. How many watts should I be running at during veg. and how far away from the plants should I keep them? When I turn it up all the way, my kill-a-watt meter is reading about 640 watts. Thanks in advance for any help

For 2x5 or 10 sq ft during veg I'd run it 150-180 watts at 18" high, flower 300 watts at 18" high. You can increase or decrease height and wattage but I'd start there. You can also let the plants tell you, if they droop by lights out repeatedly then it's too much light.
