Most efficient LED's at the moment

Hi guys
I want to try my hand at soldering some LED's for some personalised lights. More of a hobby than anything else
Which ones are the most efficient on the market at the moment and/or provide best bang for buck?
I had a quick look at Digikey UK to see what they have in stock and it looks like their current and most efficient diodes are OSRAM OSCONIQ® S 3030 and Luminus Devices MP-3030-120H:
