PIR Sensors - 12v vs 240v

Hi guys

I'm going to use LED strips for lighting a hallway, I want these to be triggered by a PIR sensor.
What is the best way to do this?
Do I get a 240v PIR sensor that activates a constant current driver which in turn powers the LED strips?

OR

Do I use a constant current driver which powers a 12v PIR sensor which switches the LED strips on and off?

What are the pros and cons of both setups?

Kind regards

CF

You can do it either way. A 240v PIR sensor will keep the driver turned off until it needs to be used and will end up using less electricity. You need to ensure that you do the wiring correctly and have electrical knowledge to do so.

12V PIR are pretty common now days too and easier to install
