Ozone generators

As some might remember from previous posts and comments of mine, my grow space shares air with people who can potentially be nosey, so smell-control is a my top-most priority.

While it's all pretty much under control for the moment (between two dehumidifiers, two negative ion generators, and two carbon filters (one in the tent, the other out of it)) I'm still worried about those last two weeks when things get really funky.

So I bought two ozone generators. One produces 0.5g/h and should fit in the exhaust tube (150mm diameter), the other produces 10g/h and is a stand-alone thing.

I still need to get a female-female adapter for the in-line ozone generator. I tried the 10g piece I bought off of eBay earlier today. That shit is toxic. From 10 meters away I closed by eyes, pinched my nose between my fingers, ran to unplug the beast and ran back away.

The in-line generator, 20 times weaker, on a timer, and filtered by the carbon, might still be a good idea. But yeah-- even if smell-control is a top-most priority not killing myself and others is an even topper-most priority.

There's nothing like that smell. Too bad it ended up being a little over the top. Do you still plan on using the little guy?

The smell of ozone? What came to mind was the feeling on the skin when going inside a way-over-chlorinated pool, but happening in my nose and to my lungs.

I finally got the adapters I needed to fit the little guy. (Oddly enough, non of the hardware stores had one but the growshop did. And it was MM, not FF, but nevermind.) It's in air pump, after the in-tent carbon filter and before the out-tent carbon filter (which is only really backup to the first.) It's on a timer, going on and off every half-hour during the hours I'm not near by. The hissing the machine makes still scares me (PTSD for that 10g/h beast), but there doesn't seem to be any ozone smell.

As for the plants, they don't smell now and didn't really smell before either. I'm just safe-guarding for the big stink that's about to come. Looks like this will do the job.
