Controlling a portable AC
Hello,
Does this work without an AC Snubber circuit? I have found without it inductive loads cause arcs through the relay that over time (3 or 4 uses from my observations) that cause the relay to fail open (powered on). I assume the compressor on the AC would be an inductive load.

That was in the back of my mind when I built the AC controller, but this being a prototype I went without for now. I will likely need to add something before it fries a relay. I'm not using the AC at the moment, still too cold as is.
For the dehumidifier I'm reusing the original power circuitry, which appears to include snubbers on the AC relays.

From what Lgardener said to me in a pm: forum stays up as an archive but nobody can make new posts.
