There are a lot of examples of people getting burned buying on alibaba. Generally it makes quite a difference who you buy from. Even the people who bother checking forums first are at risk, though they mostly seem to get stuff that gets the job done. Just picking the cheapest supplier on alibaba is a recipe for disaster.

I'm sorry for you getting burned, but I'm not surprised: "Shenzhen's registered population as of 2017 was estimated at 12,905,000.[1] However, the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee estimates that the population of Shenzhen is about 20 million"

Shenzhen is not a company:

"The city is a leading global technology hub, dubbed by media as the next Silicon Valley.[14][15][16]"

"Crime
In general, Shenzhen is a relatively safe city. However, in districts such as Bao'an and Longgang, the number of robberies, extortion, kidnapping, and fraud exceeds the national average.[citation needed]

Just realized you made your purchase with Meiju... saw a lot of people on RIU who purchased from them, so I guess you already put your time in at forums... Thats really f#@ked up.

If I were you I would make a well laid out post with clear photos etc and spread it on the larger grow sites as a warning.

Did you recontact the company to discuss your experience?

No I haven’t, I’ve spent more time trying to diagnosis the issue.

Running new hvac and upgrading it from 6 to 8. Portable Ac with insulated line to cool the lung and anything else I could think of to expel build up of the heat.

Worked great for the winter tho, didn’t need to run heat in the house

Sorry I grouped an entire region as a company and for that I apologize.

For the most part they worked amazing, in the end all I’m saying is be sure of heatsinks , drivers, and diodes. I thought I had educated myself but still had trouble.

I have looked at COB's because I want to make something with 97cri. The COB itself is cheap but you need a heatsink etc... Finally I think it surely costs more then strips. It really depends on how much you pay for cooling, drivers and the frame.

I you want 97 CRI strips you should consider the Optisolis from Nichia, but not going to be a cheap strip, but the spectrum rocks
