Looking for any input on this build. I'm ready to purchase.

Flower space 4x4 x 2

Led Strips - EB Gen 3 90 CRI 3000k 2 ft x 60

Driver - HLG-240H-20b x 4. 2 drivers per 30 strips.

Configuration - 2 strips mounted on 4 foot aluminum angle. This will give 15 4 footers per 4x4 space. Angles will be spaced about every 3 inches giving me a overall light dimension of about 4ft x 4ft, it will actually be about 44" x 44".

Wiring - 15 strips parallel per driver.

Power specs - my calculations give: each strip will run 800mA, 19.2v for a total wattage per driver of 230w.
And efficiency of 168 lm/w.

Please let me know if I am missing anything.

Hey @Li_Mu_Bai how'd this turn out? :) Curious to see it fired up!

Also, if you haven't built it yet, @greengenes put up a video on youtube talking about a fixture design using 8020 extrusions and tnutz that makes a lot of sense but requires a little drilling/tapping if the thermal tape doesn't hold. It's expanding on an idea I had here when building my kitchen lights, and I really think it makes for a clean build. Check it out.

The hlg-240-20 has a voltage range of 10-20V. These strips can pull up to 22.6V, depending on their temperature. You won't realize full power and may experience other weird things with a 20V limit. The HLG-240h-24b is likely a better choice, as it runs 12-24V, covering the entire range of the strips.

You're using the angle as heatsinks? The rule of thumb w/ these gen 3 EB strips is to keep the current at/below 700mA when running naked. The angle will dissipate enough heat generated by the extra 100mA, so you'll be safe there (assuming each of your strips is getting 800mA as you stated).

The range you mentioned is the constant current region for this driver. The voltage adjustment range is 18.6-21.4 and, in MW's testing, was actually 17.5-22.4V.
