LED DRVR CC BOOST 12-43V 1.05A (I realized my mistake after)

Still want to build out a larger one but I have time before summer is over. Probably going to add 2 more lights to it because why not?

I am finally looking at building a larger 4x2 for a variety of plants to overwinter inside. I am looking at the below

and wired like attached. Did I make any mistakes? Can I do it better?

I'm still waking up so I need more coffee but your wiring and math looks right to me.

I will say it again that using high voltage running strips in series so the voltage exceeds the rated output of the strips is the wrong way to do it and its safer to use a parallel system.

Sorry for the delay. Just seeing this. The topography was wrong. You want AC DC, this one was DC DC, I think I found a laptop charger that fit the specs that I was eventually able to use, but its much simpler to not use a DC DC boost transformer

I ended up building a larger light. I have decided to get another strip to add to bring the total to 6 and run it a bit cooler. Its really just for over wintering some outdoor plants

Here is the build

5 x BXEB-L1120Z-50S4000-C-C3 (the new Gen 3 thrives at 4 feet)

1 x XLG-240-H-AB

1 x potentiometer

It's pretty simple. I have 5 gen 3 slims but the shelf I am using isn't wide enough so I will eventually add them in once I find a suitable shelf

Wired in parallel running 40.6V at 980ma at ~40 watts a strip (If I remember the math correctly). Interestingly they are a bit shorter than the gen 3 slims
