Only 50% power on HLG-320H-C1050B and EB Slim3 strips

Ive connected 16 strips in series EB Slim 3 (590.00mm) to a HLG-320H-C1050B. When I power them on I only get ~170 watts. The goal is to get all the 300-320 wattage out of the driver and dim it down as necessary.

I tried shortening the red and black cables that go from strips to driver but that had no effect. I tried putting the driver on top of the frame to increase temperature and have it closer so it does not drop any current but that had no effect. I also tried another HLG-320H-C1050B but still it only gave out ~165-170 watts.

The specs on the strip and driver are as following:

HLG-320H-C1050B ;
- Type : Constant Current
- Voltage ; Output 152 ~ 305V
- Current ; Output (Max) 1.05A
-Power (Watts) ; 320W

BXEB-L0590U-50E1500-C-C3 (EB 3 Slim)
Current - Test 700mA (Maxes out at 1700 mA)
Voltage - Forward (Vf) (Typ) 19.1V
Current - Max1.7A

16 strips would equal to =

(19.1V) * 16 strips = 305.6 FV
Running ( 1.05A * 305.6 ) = 320.88 watts. But for some reason I'm getting about 50% of the possible wattage which is 150-160watts.

If I'm not mistaken it looks like the driver is putting out or the strips are accepting 0.52A. (0.52A * 305.6) = 160watts

Since I am trying to reach 600watts using two of these set ups I went ahead a rigged up 32 LED strips to one driver and thats how I was able to get 314watts out of the driver. I do need the light intensity to increase. I guess I could buy 32 more led and heat sinks to achieve the 600watts out of the two drivers but that would be out of budget.

I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND WHY IM NOT GETTING THE 1.05A out of the driver or what's happening here. Any help or ideas would help.

thanks for the time. Here is a picture of some flowers I grew under the EB3 Slims. They are powerful.

Im still trouble shooting these.

On the specs sheet I see that the Current Adj Rate is (525-1050mA) so for some reason the drivers are starting at 525mA since (525mA * 19.1) = 10.03 watts per strip. (16 strips) * (10.03) = 160.48

I tried using a potentiometer to see if I can turn them up but I can only turn them down. I would blame the driver but I have 2 that do the same wattage.

A potentiometer should not be required to get full brightness since by default it does it.

It appears that your LED Strips may have a higher "Series" Voltage than the maximum of your HLG-320H-C1050B Driver, it may be in "Safety" / Hiccup mode.
You can do a simple test to check, simply remove one (1) of the Strips to make 15 total in series, then measure the Voltage and Current (Watts).

Also the "Current Adj Rate is (525-1050mA)” (50 - 100%) is only applicable to MeanWell -A or -AB suffix LED Drivers -B suffix driver (-C1050B) only has a "Dimming Function", with a connected 100K Ohm Pot the output "Current" will Vary from 0 - 1050 mA at 0 - 100K Ohm respectively...
For Example;
-A suffix
HLG-480-48A = Set: 480W, 24 - 48V CCR, Adj: 240 - 480W
Vo = Set: 48V, Adj: 40.8 - 50.4V
Io = Set: 10A, Adj: 5 - 10A (50 - 100%)

-B suffix
HLG-480-48B = Set: 480W, 24 - 48V CCR, Adj: 0 - 480W
Dim = Set: n.o., Adj: 0 - 480W (0/10 - 100%)

-AB suffix
HLG-480-48AB = Set: 480W, 24 - 48V CCR, Adj: 0 - 480W
Vo = Set: 48V, Adj: 40.8 - 50.4V
Io = Set: 10A, Adj: 5 - 10A (50 - 100%)
Dim = Set: n.o., Adj: 0 - 480W (0/10 - 100%)
