hey guys I have a question.

I have to build new fixture and it has to go into 3ftx3ft tent.

usually I build 4x4 and using Samsung f series in 4ft length.
works magic.

but for this project I have to think something to spread in 900x900mm space.

I was thinking about using 560mm strips and go like this. see the attachment please.

zig zag style.

what do you thinking about this?
any better ideas?

thank you.

my limitation is that I'm using aluminium profiles 2020. and they are actually 2010 20mm is maximuwidth of strip hence I can not use bridgelux I m afraid.

cheers

not as cheap as BLX but you dont need as many. You would need to use 3030 tslot

Zig zag is no good you'll get wildly uneven light intensity: centre will have double the amount of diodes as the sides.
3x3 is best served (imho) by 4 boards @ about 60-80w each.

Another thing re blux strips: it usually cheaper to just buy some more strips rather than buying heatsinks, and drive the super soft.
Especially if you can get up to 50-100units for price breaks. This also makes the 1footers attractive

hey thank you all for inputs.

@@Welight

well this fixture will be for vegging only so 5000k is the best spectrum for me.
but I really like products from cutter and one day I will give it try.
the best would be strips in 2700k 90cri with extra 660 in 4feet length.

finally I have decided to go with bridgelux 340mm on 850x850 frame..
