Already have a 2x2 BXEB ive build using 6 x 2' Bxeb 3500k & HLG120 20A.

My next build is going to be using the 3x3 plans.
Using 15 x Bxeb 2' & HLG 320 20A

Already bought the HLG320, but just want to confirm the plans for the 3x3 are still correct/upto date for the Bxeb?

Also wanting to build a 2x2 using F-series double row 5000k strips for Veg tent.

Will the HLG240 24A be the unit i need to power that rig?

Also a link to the correct F-series, double row, 5000k if anyone can provide from digikey please?

I seem to get a little lost on the digikey website, then always debate of the image im looking at is the double row or not.

Thanks guys

Assuming feets, the 240 In a 2x2 space is excessive. A 120 will do fine.

heres the 280mm strip info.
the hlg240-24a can run this one

LT-F284B in 5000k is SI-B8R261280WW how ever it is NOT IN STOCK
https://www.digikey.com/products/en?key ... 8R261280WW
I was trying to emulate this rig (About 5th post down - Prawn Connery)
https://www.rollitup.org/t/samsung-stri ... ng.977206/

"I've got F-series strips in my veg tent. 4x double-row 5000K driven by a HLG-240H-48A"

Ahh,i see my error/typo just as i am replying.

Its a 240 48A he is using, NOT a 24A.

was this gen 1 or 2? any more info on the build? ppfd? grow results? yields? pics?
Gen2

Info - Built about 3month ago.
Flat aluminium 25mm with strips attached with Thermal Tape.
10mm aluminium angle for the outside of the frame

PPFD - No idea. Could prob get a Lux reading from a phone app, but how accurate that would be i dont know.

Results - Cant give gospel results as only run 1 grow with it, and it was side by side with Viparspectra v900.
The V900 alone will give me about 8oz so 400w/224g = 0.56g per Watt.

Last grow i had 6 plants.
When i hung the Bxeb rig they was already 14 days into flip, 4 of them just about snuggled under the Bxeb, and the other 2 left under my V900.

The 4 under the Bxeb pulled around 9.5oz and the 2 under the V900 pulled around 3.5oz.

So around a 50% increase in yield (that was never going to be hard against a viparspectra though).
On the maths side...

V900 alone - 0.56g per watt

Bxeb & V900 combined - 0.72g per watt

As the lights were overlapping i wouldnt take these figures as a true reflection just yet.
Serious heat issues this year in the uk which didnt help.
Certainly impressed with the Bxeb in flower so far for the small amount of watts, hence me upgrading to two of the 3x3 rigs to put in my 4x4. Will be building the 3x3 plans to make a 2x4 rig.

And hopefully once i sorted out the F-series/Driver situation then ill using the that as the Veg light.
Just need to marry the correct parts and then make the order.

Pics? will see what i can do.

Downloaded a lux meter app.

These are the figures its showing...

at 4" Distance
Around edge of rig - 28k-31k Lux
Centre of rig.............. - 40k Lux

At 6"
Edge - 25k-28k Lux
Centre - 38k Lux

At 12"
edge - 18k-22k Lux
Centre - 32k Lux

Me using the 3x3 plans to make a 2x4 rig will reduce the gaps between the strips, giving a more even coverage hopefully.

The 2x2 F-series will be replacing my 2x2 Bxeb for veg,
And the V900 will be sold on.

=====================

So to clarify...
For the F-series...

4 x double strips @ 5000k
HLG240 48A

Them parts marry together?

And for my HLG320 20A that i have, 15 x Bxeb 2', Gen 2, marry together also?

If them two sets marry together then ill pull the trigger this week

Its an 80cm x 80cm tent for veg, was just rounding the numbers down.

240w will be fine for what i need.

Would rather over build slightly and run under, can still run at 50% with the 240 and difference in price from the 120 is about £7

Im no scientist, but that sounds a positive to me.

Makes much more sense in 80x80, excellent.
