Lm561c 2ft strips design *help*

can i get some info on how to work with a constant voltage driver ?
how is the math worked around that ?

Here's an article to read; it's aimed towards COB users but all the principles are the exact same. Just sub in the word "strips" every time you see "COB" :mrgreen:

So i did this basic math.
Two cv drivers hlg 480 24a
Would be needed to power them .
Enough juice to pump about 800 plus or minus to the strips if wired in parallel.
I was planning to use these strips

Wondering if i should mix the spectrum or leave it as is.

Now relating to wiring everything will be in parallel. That i woll have to figure out .

I guess i would say im copying TEDS build but my problem is i dont like to copy . What fun is it if i dont understand what im building nor is it a bit unique to me lol.

Please correct anything that is off .

So 16 strips per 3x3 table .

Imitation is the sincerest form for flattery!

The strips youre looking at on digikey are the M series, which use the older LM561B+ diode. The LM561C diode is in the F and H series and looks to have about 10% greater efficacy compared to the LM561B+

Regarding mixing spectrums for the LM561C, to me, it look like the only difference between the different colors is the inclusion or exclusion of the blue light peak.

I guess it really depends on how much blue light vs red light do you want? I dont know if you need to mix multiple colors to achieve that result.

How are you going to build your L shaped fixture with two drivers?Would divide the strips up 50/50 between the drivers?

Gotcha... because they are a bit cheaper then the others . I dont understand why its classfied "lt-lm561c g2" fake advertisement lol .. regardless im using that one for the reason of cost and so on .
And i was thinking
3 fixtures with quick disconnects or some sort of plug to complete the circuit . .
Now thats where it could get a bit creative .

Here are the two foot LM561C series strips in 3000k for a little bit cheaper actually than the M series youre looking at: https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/ ... ND/6149745

$9.30 a strip for the 3000k and 3500k versions if you buy more than 25 of them vs $9.40 a strip for the 4000K M series you were looking at. The 400K LM561C strips are a little pricier on Digikey, I bought mine on Arron for $11 bucks a strip, but Arrow does free shipping, which Digikey does not.

The data sheets say the M series has higher output, but they are running almost twice as much current.

Either way there is not too much of a difference between the two, if you go with either you should be fine.

I'm curious to see how you'd integrate 2 drivers into three fixtures, I'm sure it would be fun though.

If possible . I was thinking like this .

What if you skipped the connection between them and having to split the middle board up by just going with 1 driver per 16 strips?
