Did I understand right, that you plan to put 240w for a 0.8m x 0.8m veg area? It's 0.64m2, so it makes a pretty high watt/ square foot even for flowering... 41.66w per square foot.

Run at 50% that'll be 21w per SF with the option to increase as plants grow.

So you says its overkill....
What other options is worth considering with minimum of 3 x 2' F-Series?
HLG 185?

Oh, and huge thanks for the input guys.
Much appreciated :)

80cm = 2.62ft

2.62 x 2.62 = 6.86

240 / 6.86 = 34.98w sq ft

:?: :?:

Your 0.64m into feet is 6.88.

240 / 6.88 = 34.88w sq ft

You say 41.66w sq ft

240 / 41.66 = 5.76sq ft area total.

Ill probably need to look at this tomorrow with a clear head, but the numbers just dont add up somewhere

Oh dear... might have been well baked while calculating. Now I'm short of caffeine. Will recalculate once I get my brain running

Was pretty baked myself crunching them numbers last night.
But usually pretty good with figures.

Ill let you cast another eye over the numbers.

One thing i am querying, is when i turn my HLG120 to full power, it reads 152w (Thats fine, i understand the driver has a draw power and also can be over driven from the 120w), however the Amps read 0.66.

With the driver rated at 1050, each 2' strip rated at 13.6w(?) at 0.7amps or 27w @ 1.4amps.

So how am i running at less than nominal rating (0.7amp) whilst pushing 152w (25w each strip) into 6 strips??

Is that 0.66A measured on the AC side with 220/230V AC? Because 152W/0.66A=230volts and that's right where you should be.

Well, that was quick.

15 x 3500k EB's and 4 x 5000k Double row F-Series delivery turned up today.

So went onto the Aluminium warehouse link to test them out for price etc

Ordered 4 x 40mmx20mm rectangle for the F-Series & ordered 16 x 25mm C/U-Channel for EB's.
Total price shipped was £87 and all cut to size too.

Rang a local Aluminium supplier up who quoted me more than double the price of this supplier.

Wago's & a couple of L20 connectors also on order.

Hopefully can start the build next week when all parts have arrived.

:D

Anyone interested in a build log on here or shall i just i just show the light rig when its complete?
