Hey so to hell with that parallel wiring bc that’s wayyy harder and uglier so I’m going with 2-HLG-320H-C1050 640W so a little boost by 40w and available 304v I could even run 2 more 24v strips in the two series And get more diodes and more efficacy But anyhow still waiting on 330 mL of thermal paste HY910 I paid a whole 30 bucks on I’ll probably never run out lol But I am excited to get this thing moving oh yeah

Arrow.com has everything 15% off and Free OVERNIGHT 📦 they are the shit and have almost every MW Driver FYI

Until next time pics will be posted will be starting to get some more now that all parts are almost here

I have 100 of these comming in but I paid much more than $6, I am guessing you got it from mufue?
I went for 12x hlg 240 drivers for these some 24A and some 48A ..the freaking thing is just taking too long so in the meantime I ordered a bunch of reels of samsung and am in the process of having some pcbs printed locally ..I am gonna have a shit load of lights, I will probably run them really soft @50ma or so, so i can use as many as possible
If you guys have any design ideas I would love to hear.
thinking of getting some boards that can run at 36v ( lots of cheap driver options) 180 leds a board ( 12s15P)a 50 watt driver could run these at 100ma, 75 watts @140ma

was just doing the math, if you got these strips @$6 each then its costing $.0625 per led, the best rate that i found from china for original samsung packed lm561c is $.056 buying in bulk....I am not quite sure how someone can sell you at that price if they are using legit leds if you know what I mean.

So here I go was originally going to use these heat sinks for (6)qb288’s
But figured I’d go with a little overkill and character two drivers will be placed in between and flipping unit over to getting light strips thermal pasted down and in place will post more pics tonight

Can’t wait till this thing is Alive !
Won’t be long now :D
Ps Will be cleaning up thermal paste a little better LOL at least before final product

$6 each eh? This exact same board normally sells for $20! I won't mention the product name because I don't want the originator to find this forum, as he is arrogant and talks out of his ass from time to time so I don't want to taint the great vibe going on here. I actually really like this board layout, for example Samsung strips have the connectors in an annoying spot that blocks some light and this connector placement is much better.

Great find, I am going to notify him.

This is very entertaining to read. This is a great forum so far. I hope it stays chill as well.

I was considering going with a similar setup with a large sheet of aluminum. Someone said there's got pretty hot so i decided to reconsider. Then I was gonna try 1" heat sinks for my strips from heatsink usa, but they dont have enough, and won't have enough until the end of Feb. So now I am in a pickle. Haha 16 strips and 1030 watts is gonna make some heat.

Dig your setup! looking forward to see how it all turns out.

Let’s be honest you can’t even buy a light out of the box that makes 1200 to 1400 PPFD More like 1100 to 1300 for something like that depending on your manufacture

Use arrow electronics.com they have free overnight shipping and great selection and prices for drivers or cobs strips, Whichever your poison

This build was done solely by knowledge taken from a few different lights the sizing was based off of the NEXT MEGA’s 37” frame
The aluminum Sheet and DIODE’s I will give some much deserved credit to horticulturallightinggroup.com (QUANTUM BOARDS 288 & 304 SAMSUNG LM561C)And CHILLED.COM inspired as VITALY is a pioneer in this industry he and GROWMAU5 are where a Large chunk of this information and ideas come from without them the DIY LED world would be much differently shaped so quick shout out to those guys and anyone else who took their time to share their Light Builds with others to spread the knowledge and stop buying $2000 lights build one like this for around 600 whichever you pick to do I hope you have success in all that you set out for good luck Guys

Also can’t forget the man LEDGARDENER.COM who put together this website AND FORUM is solving a lot of wiring issues and build ideas for a lot of guys so thanks for putting this forum together I will be back hopefully with something new and exciting!
