Can different length strips of same voltage be connected parallel?

Strip light questions and discussions go here (Samsung, Bridgelux, Photo Boost, Growcraft, etc.)

I got that.
I was asking Xenophon about his math. Regarding 21v.
At 21v, the 1’ and 2’ strips are well overdriven. There not even on the charts at 21v.

3v is just rough math. The diodes may or may not be able to run that high, but by using that number one can quickly make assumptions about many are run in series. For instance, 3v x 6 is 18, which clearly wouldn't fit these strips voltage, while 3v x 8 is too much. This was just offered as a lazy man's way of avoiding mental calculation at 2.85v or whatever. Rounding up, as it were.

Just a reminder that tiny changes in voltage can have big effects on an entire system.
For that reason, you shouldn’t publish “rough math” numbers. Be as accurate as you can with your calculations. It’s a good habit to get into, and could save you a big mishap down the road.
