OK, got it. One more thing I'm running 22 1ft strips in a 3x2. Which configuration would be better for optimum coverage ? Running 3 strips on (8) 36" heatsinks the width of the cab or just 22 strips configured like yours? I ask because the 1 ft strips configured like yours won't cover the 2 ft depth of the cab and would have to be centered. Thanks.
Linear like this? Or horizontal like yours?

I guess what I'm asking is would my coverage be better in my rectangular space if I ran the 11in strips across the 24in depth or run 3 11in strips (33in) on one 36in heatsink across the 36in width.

I like the way you did it running the strips east-west instead of what I did going north to south. In the end, I dont know if the difference is significant though.

Very cool build by the way, what kind of strips are those?

Those pics are not mine, i was using those as examples. The first pic i found while researching east west configs, his build was for an aquarium! they are eb strips though, http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/20-di ... %2A-9.html Post #125. Thanks again. if we find the actual foot print of the different length strips my answer would be clearer. My strips arrive this week and i'll share my findings with you.

I took the plunge and got 21, 660nm deep red mono leds and 21, 730nm far red leds to add to the array of strips. I also got two mean well plm-40-700 constant current drivers to go with them.

The plan is to have the strips, deep red, and far red on seperate channels, and to leave the far red on after the other turn off to speed up flowering and possible allow me to switch to 13/11 or 14/10 light cycle during flowering.

Ill post an update when its done.
Hey can you link or give specs for those red leds

I plan on copying you haha thanks pal

Hope this helps. The leds come wired to a star pcb, so soldering is required, but its not hard. Good luck!
