The connectors on the slimline concern me 20-24 AWG, typically good for .50 to 1.5 amp yet max rating is 1.7 amp :(

Ah okay that's nice to finally see and at least you didn't buy around 40ish units of Gen2 a couple months before they went 40% off... I'm still debating emailing Digikey to see if they would be willing to help ease my pain from that purchase with a coupon or something lol
Damn! Thanks for making me feel better :D If you finished your first crop with them before this discount it should reduce the blow a little. I hope I get one run done before the 2700k 90cri strips come in :P

No problem! Glad I can make someone feel better about it  I have not yet unfortunately but I figure since I'm using them for my business I should able to work in a tax write off for them at the very least :)

I can't get over the tunable strips cutter has been showing here. Planned to build a tunable setup around these EB's, but having a serious change in orientation. Already found someone to take 50 EB strips of my hands.
I already have a few older EB fixtures I'll keep and test supplemental frequencies on.

Nice! I've been checking those out too. Feel like I need a better understanding of spectrum to appreciate them fully though lol. Keep us updated on how your tests go! I've been reading through your posts on Vestas and side lighting, very interesting stuff 8-)
