Can someone show me how I should wire the 2' single row f series strips on a hlg 600 48a? Im putting 24 strips on 12 48" heatsinks held in 2 48" .75x.75 aluminium c chanels. I assume the strips need to be run in groups of 2 in series. How is it best to do this?

Run 12 positive wires and 12 negative wires from the driver. Run 1 positive wire to the positive of a strip, then run the negative of that strip to the positive of another strip. Run the negative of the second strip in the series to the negative of the driver. Repeat these steps 11 more times, and you'll have 12 sets of 2 strips in parallel going to the driver. You can split it up between the 2 outputs the 600h has. 6 sets of 2 strips in parallel going to each output.

Thanks thats how I did it just wanted to make sure. I already did the same setup except with a hlg 600 24a and the heatsinks are noticably cooler than with the 48a. Just wanted to make sure I didnt do something wrong. Now Im wondering why they would be hotter.

You wired 24 of the same f series strips to a 600h-24a with 12 parallel sets of 2 in series?

That doesn't sound like it would work. One of the f series strips draws roughly 24v. So, wiring 2 in series would add up to 48v. Maybe the 600h-24a is running these strips about half voltage?

Look at it this way. Wiring series always splits the voltage, and keeps the current constant. Wiring parallel splits the current and always keeps the voltage constant.

So, wiring 12 sets of 2 strips would provide 24v to each parallel run, and then split the 24v in to 12v for each of the two strips in series on the hlg-600h-24a. Running these on that low of voltage doesn't sound possible, because the constant current region on that driver is only 12-24v. Maybe wait for someone more experienced to explain this.

Wiring the same set up to an hlg-600h-48a would send the 48 volts down the parallel runs, and split the 48v to 24v into the 2 strips in series.

My bad I worded that wrong on the hlg 600h 24a i wired it all parallel on the 48a I wired groups of 2 in series like you described. Using my killawatt the 24a maxed on both pots was 645-650 at the wall and the 48a with both pots maxed is 690-695. I tuned them both down to 615 and the 24a runs the strips cooler than the 48a. Not sure why but the heatsinks on the 24a are warm whereas the heatsinks on the 48a are downright hot.

That's a good question. Beyond my knowledge though. Lol

I mounted 6 samsung fb24b strips connected in parallel on a hlg 600h 48a and everything works great! I ordered 500 strips
