Thanks to this kick ass site and its helpful members I am finally starting to assemble my own strip light.

The light will be covering a 4 x 6 scrog in a sealed room with co2 and used only for flowering. I have a 5000k cxb light for veg, down the road I will be suplimenting with some 660nm reds. I left just over an inch between the strips for this.

Details of the build

20x 44" double row f series gen 3 3000k strips
Heat sinks from heatsinksusa.com
2x hlg-h600-48b drivers
Dimming and timers will be handled by zigbee controllers mounted remotely with the drivers.

Here are a few pics of the first half of the frame I put together tonight. I will do the rest tomorrow and start pulling wire if all goes well.

It's going to be a slow build as i have limited time to work on it but I am not really in a rush as I have to wait for my last blurple grow to finish

Soldered two 19 pin connectors for a 30' remote driver panel.

That’s a very interesting connector. What is it rated for?

Looking great.

It has 19 14 gauge stranded wires on it so I would assume each pin is rated at 15 Amps. I wont be putting more than 3 Amps on them though.

Thermal runaway protection with resistors mounted to terminal blocks for 10 of the strips. I'll put the other set together tomorrow.

The cab side panel connector soldered with awg 12 leads to power the fixture.

Second set of resistors wired to terminal blocks and resistor sets wired to a male panel connector. The terminal blocks wont be bolted down until I have the outputs connected. I also want to make some spacer bars to raise them off the back of the box for better airflow.

I am going to cut out the cover and make some intake vents in the box then mount a couple of 12v fans to extract any heat generated.

That’s awesome! I’d love to see what sort of current readings you get between all the strips.

Dont worry I will be recording current and temps when it's all done, assuming it doesn't explode when I flip the switch.

Hopefully I'll take the time to put it all on a nice little spreadsheet at different voltages.

More baby steps, I got one half of the fixture wired. Wagos to spit the negatives and slid neatly into the frame with rubber grommets for the penetrations.

I should get the other fixture wired and the panel connectors soldered and mounted to the frame tomorrow.
