Converting 2 foot strips into four footers

I have some 2 foot strips that I am going to put into a fixture that is 4 feet long, I just want to make sure I’m correct in my assumption that I could wire them in series which would be a positive from one into negative of the other but would I also wire in the negative back to the positive? Essentially connecting the 2 strips with two wires so it creates a loop kind of.

I have an ELG-240-42b so with the strips connected it should double their voltage, so I’m using the 2 footers as 4 footers.

How many strips in total are you trying to run?
What strips?

This is totally do-able. I did the same thing with 1 foot Bridgelux strips.

You wire the strips together in series, then you wire the sets in parallel to the driver.

Here’s my wiring diagram to give you an idea.

Try searching “combo wiring” or “series/parallel wiring”
