I'm really interested in the boards with the xpg-3 supplements. I have a friend I'm meeting tonight who asked me to figure a solution for 8x8, which I imagine would be 16 boards? I would like 4 pieces too, for a total of 20.

My only problem with the QB format is I have no idea on where I could get heatsinks shipped in, so I'm wondering on 2 ghetto solutions to stay true to my style.

How hard do you think 4 of your 120w boards could be driven if I just stuck them on a 3ftx3ft or 4ftx4ft sheet of aluminum? Would a 1-5w fan on the rear of the sheet change much?

The other makeshift solution I can think of is that I found 0.6mm thick alu l-bar (30x30mm) that I used with strips successfully. I use two of them per strip, to get a 60mm wide heatsink with two 30mm fins.
Maybe I could just make a 'bed' of L-bar extrusion on the rear of the QB's, and their surface volume would be close to a QB heatsink?

I'm in Finland so I imagine shipping the boards themselves would not be that expensive.
