I would like to know what driver would be appropriate if I would like to get about 15 watts per strips. Would the Meanwell HLG-60H-C700A be an option? What other options do I have? Thank you for any insight!

are ya talking gen2? the hlg-60h-20 would also work. 3amps divided by the 4 strips would give each one 750ma... making each 20V give 15w..

I would be careful though.. I was playing around with ideas for a veg light using these last night... I think they test current them at 350ma with 700ma being maxed. 15w a strip might be to much

I was going to ask LG what he though about running them roughly 10w a strip ( 500ma each) or 71% of max. since I'm still a strip noob

I don't oppose running them at 10 watts a strip. What drivers could be used? I'm hoping for 40-60 watts when it's all said and built. Thank you for the reply!

gotcha... either the hlg40/60 is probably going to be the best option for 4 strips... whether it's the 20 CV one or a CC 500 or 700ma one. but that's just the hlg series, there's always the other types/class drivers meanwell makes.. with only needing 40-60 watts it opens up more options...normally when your using hundreds of watts we always say the HLG's.

I've seen builds with ELN's...PLN's.. LP's....the hlg65 watt kits uses the 60w OWA series.. some are dimmable some are not... some have a lot lower efficiency than the HLG's.. some don't run on normal north America 110/120v.. some are not rated for outside (ip67) just indoor use. there's a lot of options with just as many price options...

basically stick with something 20v (around 2-2.5amps) if you want a CV driver.. or something with 500-700ma (operating voltage where 80v is at lease above the half range point.. higher the volts you use = better efficiency of the driver.. as long as you don't go over the max of the range) for a CC driver. I would make sure a 700ma driver is dimmable.. 500ma max doesn't need to dim. 70% won't blow them up.

LG or someone else might have more info on non hlg series I've only used them.

Will the HLG40 work for my application? Should I wire the strips in parallel or series? What kind of numbers am I looking for in a driver? I've only wired single led cobs and led strips to drivers...

I think JGG''s on the money. Since those strips are max 700mA, I'd say the HLG-40H-20 is your best bet. That'd give each strip about 500mA which is ~70% of max.

Wire them all in parallel.

Actually, the HLG-40H is not an option because it is sold out currently at Arrow. However, they do have the HLG-60H, isnt it possible to run the HLG-60H and simply adjust the current and voltage to avoid damaging the LED strips?
