Cutter SSK-1560 Build

Hey folks,

Just wondering if the following configuration would work with 0.5mm aluminium sheeting as cooling:

1 x Meanwell HLG-320H-48B
5 x SSK-1560ZGE-2790CR
3 x SSK-1560ZGE-3590CR
2 x SSK-1560-730_660

It's for a 3 x 3 flowering room by the way.

To begin with you shouldn't mix different colored strips when running things in a parallel configuration.
The reason for that is differences in voltage can cause issues.
If you are ordering from cutter there is really no point in mixing different mid power strips. Instead of a mix of 2700k and 3500k just get the 3000K
Better to run the cutter strips at no more than 700mA if you run them at 500mA no heatsink is required and this is where they are running at an optimal level

Regarding adding 660nm cutter have a new strip that blends mid powers with 660nm and I would suggest to use that strip as it uses the Cree xpg3 and is a very efficient strip.

The SSK-1560-730_660 isnt a very efficient strip due to the chips. I havent tested the 730-660 strip but I can tell from the data sheet that it isnt great.
Best to have 730nm on a separate channel also

At the end of this month/possibly early next month if there is a delay, Cutter will have a new product that I have developed to use for 730nm. It will be very good value for money and work much better than any of the suppliment strips you are looking at using.

Suppliment strips are great but to get them to blend properly you need to use alot of them. Better to keep things as uniform as possible to begin with.

How do you think it'd compare to:

The Bridelux components come in at $270AUD and the Cutter gear around $350AUD.

I would go for the Cutter strips over the bridgelux gen2
If you wanted to compare strips the bridgelux gen3 is much better and beats those cutter strips if you run enough of them.
Its more time consuming to build with the bridgelux strips so keep that in mind also, there are alot of factors that determine which strip is better than another.

Thanks, I would have to order 20 strips though, but that sounds about right for a 3x3 doesn't it?

Could I power them with the same driver (HLG-320H-20B) using just 0.5mm aluminium sheeting you think?

How many strips and which driver would you use for a 3ft x 3ft flowering tent using 0.5mm aluminium sheeting as passive cooling?

Would BXEB-L0590U-30E1500-C-C3 x 20 & HLG-320H-20B be ideal?

And for a 2ft x 4ft space 15 x BXEB-L0590U-30E1500-C-C3 & HLG-240H-20B?

BXEB-L0590U-30E1500-C-C3. 19.1v so hlg 320 20b will be fine,no heatsink is fine or your half mm sheet as long as u run them low enough. 22 strips would run them just under 700ma ,the more u use the less u run them at
Hlg320 20 b. (15A). 15A/22 = 681ma (at least 22 strips)

Hlg240 20 b 12A. 12A/18 = 666 ma (at least 18 strips)

The only problem I see is u could overload the strips on your first wagos

Solution, wire positive from driver to wago then run from that wago to all your other wagos
Same for negative
