I bought some strips / sinks / driver from eBay. Actually talked to the guy on the phone, helped walk me thru what I needed. Overall good experience.

Here's the lowdown:
(4) 4x Sun Board 96 LED LM301b 6500k
(1) HLG 150H-48A Driver

I built a neat little frame (or so I thought) to accommodate a 2x4 shelf setup.

Was using this video as a bit of a guide on how to wire it up.

Then checked out the 2x2 build with 4 strips on the strips build page here. Seemed this was the way to go:

I can wire 2 of the boards in series and it works fine:

When I wire all 4 in series, I get nothing:

All 4 work in parallel, but it's a bit messier wiring. Am I missing something? Is there some limitation with the driver that I'm unaware of? This is the driver:

This is what I'm hoping to do:

You need to run your driver in parallel
This means all + together and all - together

Yeah that's what I thought.

Can you explain why the driver needs to be run in parallel?

Why it works in series with only 2 boards and not 4?

Lastly what driver could run this setup in series?

Sorry, total newb.

Thanks!

Not sure on the driver you need to run in series, voltage would need to be close to 200 volts

I dont know the forward voltage of the strips you have but I'm presuming they are 48V
If you dont have enough voltage your strips won't light up

Parallel is easier and safer in most cases

Would there be a preference on either #1 or #2 here?

If you have a 48V driver and these strips are 24V each then #1 is what you'd want.

Spoke with the seller. He recommended this:

"use series and parallel, like this diagram shows. If it is easier, the jumpers can go on the same end of the board as the hookups from the driver."

Yup. That’s the same as what you’ve drawn in #1. Series-parallel.
