Plant health issues when grown under LED

Long story short, I built some lights using Bridgelux Bxeb 3000k strips mounted onto 3mm alu channel.
Moved the plants over and within days the leaves have drooped, stems have purpled, general heath of the plant has gone down. This is from lush green vigorous growth previously under Halide and CMH.
So I googled this issue and have found, as I'm sure some of you will already know, that this is a known issue which some believe to be related to various things.
Some say, and most obviously, the light is stressing the plants. Too strong. Back off.
Others speculate that the temps need to be higher to stimulate transpiration because of the lack of heat from the LEDs.
Others say it is an issue with spectrum, and that a 3000k-only fixture needs to be supplemented to give a more balance profile for overall plant health.
While others suggest that plants grown under LED need more nutrients, cal & mag in particular.
It's really disappointing to put in so much work and not have the results to enjoy, but rather have to experience things taking a turn for the worse.
I'd like to hear from experienced heads on this and those who might have experienced the same problems when they transitioned over to LED and how/if they fixed it. Would be a great help.
