Hey guys!
I have been planning to make a 320W LED fixture with the new Bridgelux EB Gen 3 High Output (8 units) and have stumbled across 4016 aluminium profiles, they seem fairly inexpensive and you can get them in any size you want. https://www.dold-mechatronik.de/Aluminu ... er-section

Here is a 3D model I made :

There are 2 strips per row wired in series, and every pair will be wired in parallel. Each unit should produce a maximum of 40 watts.

Do you think these extrusion profiles will dissipate the heat properly ?
Thank you!

heey,
I'm usually using U channel aluminium profile 40x20x2 and it runs cold.
these profiles you suggesting should be absolutely fine.
btw I like your 3d model.
can you post more pictures of that 3d model ?

Thank you for the feedback!

I also saw Timber Growlights that appear to use some kind of profile that ressembles my idea and they pull way more power than my fixture, it reassures me for that purchase :D https://timbergrowlights.com/cypress-6/

Here are some screenshots you asked
