I'm thinking of testing out two SL-B8R5C9H2AWW and two SI-B8V521560WW in the same tent with some of my auto-flower grows and want to run them on the same driver, the wattage works out to be the same though don't think I can run them in series? I'm interested to see how the autos perform wih the higher kelvin and reds.

If not, could I run them in parallel off one driver?

SI-B8V521560WW
- Current - Test 1.12A
- Voltage - Forward (Vf) (Typ) 46V
- 1.12 x 46 = 51.52w

If you pick say a 1.05a CC driver then yes you can put them in series they will draw their respective voltages as long as its within the drivers constant current voltage range. A lot of people like to run strips in parallel to keep the voltages low. I don't think that is possible with two different forward voltages as you have to set the output voltage of the driver to one or the other.

The usual recommendation is to Not run Strips with different Vf in Parallel.

But you could (theoretically) create Series / Parallel circuit, a 2S / 2P...


Two (2) Series circuit would be 89.1 Vdc (1 each SI-B8V and SL-B8R), wired in two (2) Parallel circuits.
