Hey guys,
Im pretty old in this forum but I dont remember my username so I will need to ask this question on my new one.

I had a 12 strip build with eb2's.

I have a new project and want to create a new light with these strips: BXEB-L0280Z-35E1000-C-A3 (https://www.arrow.com/en/products/bxeb- ... /bridgelux). Im using 8 OR 9 of these strips.

The question is which meanwell driver I should use, so the light is efficient and controlled heat.

Pretty sure you guys will easily answer and thanks in advance :)

Cheers

Rated Current (mA) : 700
Rated Voltage (V): 26.1
Wattage at above rate : (.700) * (26.1) = 18.27 watts per strip. For 12 strips 219.24 watts total.

220 watts total
12 strips total so: (26.1 * 12) = 313.2 FV

I'm pretty new OP but I've build a couple. It looks like based on the strips amount and details you would need something like the

HLG-240H-C700B - https://www.digikey.com/en/products/det ... 0B/7704018

This driver can produce 240 watts at 700ma constant current. It has a voltage output of 178 ~ 357V which covers the 313.2FV

Now Im not 100% sure if this will work properly or if I'm missing a detail but this might give you the right outcome. Currently I'm having issues with a 600watt build that's not powering on the whole way so do your own research. I have build smaller ones like yours so I'm confident this is what you need but not 100% sure. If you do finish update this thread with the outcome since it would help me and others understand.

The 280mm LED Strips at typ. are 350mA, 1205Lm, 22.1V, 7.7W
12 Strips are 22.1 Vdc, 92.4 Watts
9 Strips are 22.1 Vdc, 69.3 Watts

BTW, the strips are Rated 48Vdc insulation working current, page 9 of data sheets.

Any 75 Watt - 100 Watt (24Vdc CC Range for Parallel Wired) LED Driver can be used to power these strips.
If no Dimming (50 - 100%, 50 - 100Watts) fixed output required -A or -AB suffix driver can be selected.
If Dimming (0/10 - 100%, 0/10 - 100Watts) is required -B or -AB suffix driver should be selected.

Some Selections;
-A
XLG-100-24-A... https://www.digikey.com/en/products/det ... A/10129181
HLG-100H-24A... https://www.digikey.com/en/products/det ... 4A/7703857

-B or -AB
HLG-100H-24B... https://www.arrow.com/en/products/hlg-1 ... nterprises
HLG-100H-24AB... https://www.digikey.com/en/products/det ... B/10659864

66 Watts (22.1Vf * 3 Amps) with Dimming for 9 strips.
TRP 75 Watt Driver ($8.00)... https://www.digikey.com/en/products/det ... -D/4332671

Thanks for the input man, however the build im asking is for 8 OR 9 strips. I currently have a 12 strip build and im using hlg-150h-24a if I remember correct and it works like a charm I can post pictures of it if you want :)

I think the one you linked is for the maximum output but it really heats up TOO much if you run on full power thats the reason why I choosed hlg-150h-24a.

Let me know if you need to know anything bout my past build :)

Thank you very much for your input. That's what I was looking for. Ill go with the the A series since I can dim the light with a screwdriver from the driver.

Thanks man, Ill update with pics when I'm done with the light. Cheers
