Hi guys
I was thinking about a diy board with a combination of thrive 6500k with gen3 cri80 4000k or 5000k for veg and 2700k cri90 in addition for flower.
It would match nearly perfect if the spd charts are exact. That’s my question. I did find many different spd charts for the thrive. Especially the interesting peak at 480nm is extremely different in every single chart.
Has anyone the thrive leds in use already or has an explaination for the differences?

That’s weird but ok...nice first reaction thx.
Anybody else knowing why there are so different spd charts of the same thrive chips?
The peak is nearly 30nm shifted and intensity of some wavelengths differ around 20%~30%

I havent looked to see how the chips are made exactly on this range, there are a few ways to make high cri with that peak at 470-480nm. First is to do it with blue phosphor and use a 420nm pump. Another way is to use blue phosphor with a 420nm pump and also a 470nm pump, this reduces the amount of blue phosphor required and increases efficiency slightly. Another way is to use a 450nm pump and a 470nm pump, 450nm leds are alot more efficient than 420nm pumps so this increases the lumen output. It comes down to efficiency most of the time. I will have a new product soon to blend in with standard cri90 leds to give a very similar effect to what you see in these super high cri spectrums. It will make things cheaper and more efficient overall.

Thx for the reply. Ur advice is one of the reasons I made an account...
I read a lot of the dual bump led and took all the information I could get. Seoul, nichia.....
My problem is, which of the spd Charts I will have in reality at the end. Is this thrive product not consistent? If u look closely to the charts of the 5700k and 6500k they look very different.
Fir example. Are the bumps at 430nm and 480 ...perfect. But if the bumps are at 450nm and 500nm my idea of combining is a real mess....
Same with intensity. At one chart the 480nm bump is around 20 percent more intense than 460+500nm or only 5-10 percent?
Where I can get exact information?

Why do your post disappear after short time salmonetin? And I appreciate every answer, just did read good things from teknikk before.
If I remember right, U wrote that there are no more detailed and exact informations from bridgelux.
I will write them an email and ask them kindly, I can not use the thrive at the moment. It’s like a luckgame.
Very sad cause it did look nearly Perfect.....but only on one of the spd Charts😅

@horst Where are you sourcing the 6500k thrive strips from? I just had to order 200 to meet an MOQ and am going to be furious if they are available in the US from somewhere ha.
