I'm going to put them in the same configuration as the strips. I left three "channels" in the array to put cpu fans, but I found that the fans weren't effective at took them out. I was initially worried about thermal run away related to parallel wiring, but it's not an issue with the strips on their own heatsinks and an exhaust fan. I purchased 3, 1" wide, 2' long heatsinks from heatsinkusa.com and will put 14 leds on each, 7 deep red and 7 far red.

It going to be a little bit of a pain to wire two channels on three separate strips, but they'll be wired in series at least.

Ah, I see. That'll make for some interesting wiring for sure. I look forward to the results.

I finally got around to adding this to my blog post. This build provided some great research for parallel runs and fixing the dimming problem.

Just a quick update, excuse my soldering skills, or lack there of. The red wires connect the 660nm red and the grey connects the 730nm far red.

Its alive... more pics to follow. The 660nm red looks to be 3-4x as bright as 730nm far red. I used dc barrel connectors to connect the strips to each other, and to the drivers.

Its all installed and working now. The 660 nm is connected to the main lighting, so they go on and off together. The 730nm far red has its own control, Ill leave it on for 20 minutes after the main lights go off.

Man, that looks super cool. It's neat how the far red is barely visible.

Guys what's the distance from light to tops?
I was thinking of trying a vertical grow
