Hello folks

I was looking for an additional red-blue strips for my lightening system, when I found this one on digikey:

https://media.digikey.com/pdf/Data%20Sh ... 541_Ds.pdf

What do you think about it?

Currently I have 4 LUXEON 1208 COBs running at 150W for an extimated total of 200umol/s, I would like to reach 700umol/s adding red and blue lights.

So I extracted data from SPD chart and did some maths, for 1 strips 28V @ 1250mA and I assumed 32% of LED efficiency:

Code: Select all

ppf: 24.667 umol/s
			umol/s
vi	400-429nm:	0.127
bl	430-450nm:	0.05
	451-499nm:	0.13
gr	500-550nm:	0.16
	551-639nm:	20.182
rd	640-680nm:	1.736
fr	681-730nm:	0.198
ir	731-800nm:	0.302
Is this suitable as a good mix with Samsung H282D strips?

Below data for 1 Samsung H282D strip both 3000K and 4000K, 23.5V @ 480mA (assume 30% of LED efficiency):

Code: Select all

LM561C_3000K
ppf: 16.362 umol/s
			umol/s
vi	400-429nm:	0.095
bl	430-450nm:	0.673
	451-499nm:	1.152
gr	500-550nm:	2.338
	551-639nm:	8.309
rd	640-680nm:	2.39
fr	681-730nm:	0.901
ir	731-800nm:	0.217

LM561C_4000K
ppf: 14.285 umol/s
			umol/s
vi	400-429nm:	0.678
bl	430-450nm:	0.705
	451-499nm:	2.176
gr	500-550nm:	3.112
	551-639nm:	4.613
rd	640-680nm:	0.701
fr	681-730nm:	0.303
ir	731-800nm:	0.101
Please guys, any advice?

Thanks
Alex

I am looking for a way to add more deep reds to my build. Something premed like this would be cool.

Rapidled could be an alternative for you

Have you seen the QB11 from HLG?

The rapids look good too.

I am definitely blind, hope to have them in eu too.
Do you think it is hard to put together something like that? I mean... we can get CREE xpe diodes mounted on a star mcpcb and secure them on a heatsink but digikey/arrow sells them as "naked" smd. What could be a way to build a 28/56cm strip?

That's a bit overpriced in my opinion....
€25 for 50cm strip with few LEDs...
It looks like to me there is only like 5 blues and 5 reds...

I would rather go for star mounted XP-E on a heatsink. I think I've seen some sexy non solder in one of growmau5 video that would be my choice...

I've also seen somewhere that XP-Es are best reds you can have. But maybe I'm wrong on that...
