Howdy folks, I'm looking at getting the following

Single 800leds pcb with black heat sink(940*195*10mm)

PCB size: 900*280*2.0mm,

3.0/W conductivity, 2OZ, 129-372W, 48V, 3-7.5A,

800pcs Samsung LM561C S6 led

How many of these would I need to cover a 1.2m x 2.4m area, I'll also be addimg one of the wide spread CDM units in the middle for bloom to cover all the UV needs ( 942 and 10k bulb to finnish ).

The kit im looking at comes with 2 x 800 boards and 1 x hlg 600h 46b drivers. Ive been quoted for 2 of these kits and wondering if its going to be enough.

I currently run 36 x CLU048 on 6 x hlg 320h c1400b drivers and looking to repurpose these and sell some for other projects.

The COBS on the green heat sinks are 3500k and the ones on the black are 3k, and the diodes are far red but ive since added some deep red and I.R.

so basically your running close to a 4x8 ( 1.4m x 2.8m) 600w total would be 300 per 4x4 ( 1.4 x 1.4) it's not quite 30w per sqft that we normally recommend for flower but one board per side would work.. the best thing would be if your able is get a 3rd board on a 320h-46/48.. that would put you around 920w watts or 30 a sqft.. ( each 4x4 = 480w)

all 3 boards evenly spaced across the 2.4m would give a nice spread..

Cheers bud. I dont run my current cob setup more that 2/3rds max, and thats only during the colder weather, and no more than 50% during the warmer months, keeps me nice and quiet so i dont have to have the fans blaring ( running at 35% fan speed and 50-70% light output is stealth as f**k )

So youre saying 3 x of the 800 boards would do me ? I was thinking of getting 4, 5 or even 6 of the 800 boards to do the 1.2 x 2.4. is that over kill ? I dont like running hot as the noise factor from inlet/outlet is an issue for me.

yeah 3 would be the minimum.. but that's running those at 300 each out of the 372w max.. it would definitely be better to run more at a lower wattage if you can.. 6 really wouldn't be over kill, just less heat per board and a better spread than just the 3... and being CV drivers you can just keep adding boards to run them cooler.

I would still stay with around 900w available.. do the kits come with 480w by chance? that way you could still have only 2 drivers but instead of one being enough power for 2/3res of your area and the other 1/3.. they would be 1/2 and 1/2. with 2/3 boards per each..

Mate really sorry, got caught up in life and forgot Id asked the question here. Just logged in and saw a notification that reminded me.

I ended up getting another tent to try some QB's out in. I got a 8' x 4' and put a Wilma 8 pot system in it.

and im covering it with 2 of these boards https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/ ... 3802D3VV9Y

The wilma doesnt occupy a lot of the floor space in the tent and these 2 rigs seem to be killing it even dimmed to about 50%. Ive had them at 100% on cooler days. Im well impressed with these, they are a bit more expensive than the standard flat 3000k / 3500k / 4000k, the ones I got have 2700k, 4000k, 730nm, 660nm, and 385nm at 480w.

Im going to be ordering some more and slowly integrate them into my COB setup and phase the COBs out.
