I picked up four QB132 boards from Amazon. I'd like to run these as pairs in different locations and be able to dim them as needed. I've reviewed the options listed on the HLG site, but I don't understand why the HLG-120H-C1400A wouldn't be appropriate for running a pair of QB132's in series.
Any thoughts?
QB132 Driver Questions
That'd work fine. 2 in series would be 71V at most when driven at 1,400mA, which is within the CC region of that driver.

the QB 132 is 36v with a 2000ma max... the hlg-120h-c1400 is recommended basically as a safety precaution.. only give each board roughly 50watts...
also because the 120 only goes to a 1400ma.. there is no hlg120h-c1750 that I'm aware of... and if you tried to jump up to a hlg@85h-c1750... you would be under the voltage range to properly work.. you would need a third board( 90v-277v. 36+36=72)
I was planning a parallel build with 3 on a HLG-185h-36... if you wanted to get 1700ma each a HLG-120h-36( has 3.4amps total) would power two boards at that range.

Hey guys, thanks for the help! I ended up using the HLG-120H-36A and running the lights in parallel.
Wanted to share the end result. These lights are crazy bright, even when not running them anywhere close to full power. Currently have the current adjusted such that each pair is drawing 100 watts at the wall. Realizing now I could have comfortably gotten away with a single panel on each shelf.
I'll be using these lights to get some tomatoes and peppers started for an outdoor container garden and also growing various succulent seedlings. I'm really interested to see just what kind of improvement I will see in the growth of the succulents with the new lights.
