Greetings gentlemen, brand new to the forum. Glad to have found ya'll!
Been cultivating indoors and out for DECADES.
Including consultation and design.
Strung out on LEDS and there possibilities, Ive purchased a lot of equip. to play&experiment with.
10 cobs, 9 288"s, 6 304's, 12 120"sQB's...various temps.
DEF. noobish in that dep.....but ready to play!...so lets...
Intro over.
The question:
To my understanding the restriction for running three 304'sQB is the connector rating set at 300v.
How about two 304's and one 288 on one driver?
If I ran them in ?series/parallel? an HLG480H-C1400B(rated up to 343v) should work, no?
Somehow paralleling the two 304's and combine them in series with the 288.
Not sure how that would divide the current/voltage...any ideas?
....seems feasible, yet alas I'm but a noob..
QB304=115.1v@1400mAX2=230.2v
QB288=51.84v@1400mA
230.2v+51.84v=282.04v
Combining QB's...1-288 & 2- 304"s with one driver.....

Just series them all up if they need to be run at 1400.
Paralleling the 304's would split the current (but not double the voltage).

Yes you could but you’ll find that the QB304s are twice as bright at 1400ma as the QB288.
That’s a hell of a collection you have to play with!

Thanks mang!
Wow twice as bright eh?
That actually might work with the idea I have.
configured as such....304(3000k)-288(2700k)-304(3000k)....on a slate two heat sink
I'm thinking the 2700k lack of output comparatively may even out the hot spot in the middle out a bit and redden things up a bit. Ill report the PAR if anyone is interested
Thinkin Ill alternate between that config. and three 288's 3000k on slate 2's. Six total. Spaced 18" on center of sink.
Should light about a 10'x4'
May Blue it up with 4000k 120's, or surround with discreets of various temps..
Open to suggestions with all the light toys...
