I ordered the 2x2 Chilled Puck Kit from RapidLED. https://www.rapidled.com/chilled-logic- ... -grow-kit/

The kit comes with a Meanwell HLG-185H-C1400B driver. Since each puck is 45v (or 48 at higher amps) and I have two of them. That gives me 90v. Since the driver is able to push 143v at constant current of 1.4a. That leaves me with (143v-90v) with 53v to spare. Correct?

If want to add a single cob to the build or a strip.

Can I use any COB that is less than 53v?

What would be best thing to add to the build, i was thinking a cob in the 4k range to fill out the spectrum more.

Any info or input would be appreciated.

You'll want to make sure the light you add to the build is able to handle 1400 ma or whatever you plan torun it at. I would search for something close to the same wattage and current as the pucks to make the lighting more even. If 1 light overpowers the others you might be working against the under powered lights. You might have to put it higher, and not get enough of the penetration from the lower powers lights.

Does that make sense lol?

Thank you yes that makes sense.

I went with the Vero29 cob, it runs at 37v which is close enough to the 45v of the pucks. They will all be running around 50 watts so I think the distance should be similar, I could always add optics if needed too.

I think the cobs and pucks get about the same amount of spread. Sounds like it should work well. Good luck in the build.
