Hello friends.
I'm building the lighting for my grow tent.
I bought 3 qb 288 v2 (lm301b), I'm going to run them at 1.4A. I know that for that amperage the tables go to 47.70 volts, I want to connect them in series in a driver hlg-185h-c1400b the data sheet says that maximum output delivery is 143v and my 3 tables in series need 143.1v ~ 144v. my question is if this driver could run my three qb288.
Good day guys :)

Welcome!

For 1.4a I think you will need a HLG240

You will want a 100k linear potentiometer. When using the dimming leads on a -b driver only current is dropped. The diodes "qb's" will adjust the voltage they require based on the current. Use the middle and either side of the potentiometer wired to the dimming leads.

I'm curious, what size space are you running these boards in? I don't know many that take advantage of that kind of efficiency right away. Most folks add boards later and bring those numbers up.
Cheers!

initially in 80cm x 80cm. But when i can buy a par meter and check the ppfd and if the performance is right maybe enlarge the space to 1mt x 1mt.

For 80cm x 80cm you should be golden at 35 w/sqft. For 1m x 1m you might want a bit more light. I had some success with 300 watts in that space. 6x cxb3590 CD bin at 50 watts each.
Cheers!

I will use this thread also if u dont mind.

Will get 6x 288 QB lm301b

will run those in 150x150 space.

Which driver to chose from?

1. 2xQB will be ON for growth phase
a) HLG-120H-48B
b) HLG-240H-48AB
c) HLG-240H-C2100B

2. 4xQB will be additionally powered for Flowering phase
a) HLG-480H-C3500B
b) HLG-480H-48AB
c) HLG-480H-54B

each seller write me something else and i confused :(

Thanks

Are you using hlg boards or atreum? If using hlg you should be fine with 240h-48a and 480h-48a drivers respectively. Using the a drivers will help you get the most wattage from the driver for the configuration.

If using atreum you should opt for -54 drivers as they typically recommend.

I assume 150 x 150 is in cm? If so that's roughly a 5x5. That would put you vegging at about 10 watts per square foot with only 2 lights. I have vegged well in that range but it is a slow veg process. You might have better luck using the whole system to veg on 50 percent or slightly higher. If you are using a 4x4 table in this space you would be good with 2 lights in veg and the total system power would almost be too much in my opinion.

Cheers

i live in EU so HLG / Atreum boards are not option.

yeah 150x150cm box.

My plan was to use 2x board on like 50-70% only for veg and after 10-14day put additional 4 boards (6 in total, to have light/chips equal on whole area) + 660/730 nm strips (red parts on picture).

Planning to order them from alibaba (KingBrite or Meijiu) seen few positive reviews for those companies over here.

Want to get mix ratio 1:1 of 3000/4000k LM301b and a extra strip with RED 660/730 4:1 ratio (size L286 X W27 X 1.6MM)

Both friendly service , but only KingBrite is able to provide RED 660/730 nm - Meijiu has only 660nm
