Board Orientation? Does It Matter?

Morning all,

I've currently got 2 wavy boards mounted to a fixture to fill my 2x4 tent length wise. So, it covers one side each of the 4 foot width. I've been thinking about optics on these boards and whether there is a difference to mounting them the opposite way, to cover depth. I've been thinking of adding a third board, sun board of fusion to my 2 wavys and will need to rebuild the fixture. Any advice?

with only being 2' deep.. yea you could flip them so the 14" is going across the 2' depth.. and add another board or two..... it would compound more of the light across the 4' length..

optics for any of his boards are tough... I think he was getting some made... but the diode pattern throws a lot of the Zhaga compliant optics out the window..

I don't remember what you did for framework 😄 but to swap them it can still be same length.. just got to change end pieces for more depth.

Thanks jolly. I'd only go to 3 boards, otherwise I'd need a new driver. I think I'll complete this grow with what I've got, and add a third board while popping new seeds. I just somehow feel the boards being horizontal vs vertical is better.

For my fixture, I just used aluminum angles. Simple rebuild. I've actually thought about wiring some PC fans to the corners to extract some heat if I make a new fixture too.
