Hi all,

I have a green house that the temp and humidity is run off a DHT22 sensor on an Esp32. Home assistant controls a wifi plug that turns on/off the humidifier once it gets above or below a certain percentage and it has been working like a charm, but over the last couple of weeks the humidity will drop below the set percentage then then randomly not trigger the plug to turn on. I switch the plug on manually and things go back to normal for around a week then it will happen again. Anyone come across this or have any idea what could be causing it?

What model plug? How does it communicate with HA, MQTT? Do you see any error in the logs?

How solid is your wifi signal near your plugs? I had a similar issue where my plugs would lose connection, setpoint drops below value, but because the plugs where offline they didn't trigger. This event should be identified in your HA logs so I would check that and get back to us.

I ended up putting a TPlink AC1750 Wireless access point near my plugs to resolve dropout issues. Been working like a hot damn and I'll be updating my original node-red post shortly.

Thanks, I think it was the plug falling out of wifi, Have changed things around and been working as it should the last week or 2.

Sonoffs S31 flashed w/t Tasmota are super stable , plus some newer models can monitor power and you can make an automation on home assistant ex.: if power consumption exceeds 14.5 Amps turn off switch and notify
