Hello,
i have built a light following a setup on this website's guide, i am using 8x SI-B8V521B20WW with one HLG-480H-48A.
Each strip is cooled by a https://www.heatsinkusa.com/1-000-wide- ... -heatsink/ but after 5 minutes full power it reaches 90c temps.
does this setup require active cooling? a bit worried i will damage the strips
Thanks
SI-B8V521B20WW temperature issue?

Don't have experience with the samsungs, but I think its safe to say there is a problem. Are you able to test voltage?

did you use thermal tape or paste? which brand? second double check to see the strips are firmly pressed to heatsink, the whole 4' length...
a even split of the 10A ( parallel never splits perfectly) it's only 1.25a each.. test is 1.12a.. they really shouldn't be that warm.. test tc temp was 65C. I would assume attached to a sink at 1.25 should be 70-75C tops..
the double checking how they are attached would be my first thought...
