Hoping to demonstrate that any competent grower can do tissue culture work, enabling low-cost, small footprint storage and plant trading of in vitro plants, among other things.
The end goal is this type of thing:
But, this initial project is to brush up on my sterile techniques using an in vitro tissueponics kit by Microclone.
I have a HEPA Laminar-flow setup, but wanted to demo that a hepa-filtered fan like this can handle the job in a small room or tent:
Equip & Supplies were sterilized in a pressure cooker @ 15-20psi for 20 minutes:
Process was done in a 4x4:
Cuttings soaking in 500ppm chlorine solution
Around day21, I will be cutting up these plants, to prep them for in vitro replication, then in vitro rooting, then transplant to ex vitro rr's for acclimitization...I'll be using another Microclone kit for this work.
Cutting placed in sugar-hormone-antimicrobial solution
The cuttings were placed in a 2x3x4.5
Running under an incandescent light (for heat) and a hlg96elite, running at:
Here is what they look like today 6/21, Day 9, ~77F and ~75% rh

Júst found this is possible recently, and googled a little, hoping to find an easy approachable way to try this. Very exiting stuff. Privileged to have you around.

Glad to be here...some other better light experts and growers came over too: randomblame, prawn connery, and frank cannon; teknik paved the way.
They all are great guys, who are willing to help anyone. Looking forward to share my silliness and learn from you guys.

Day 11: No obvious contamination yet, leaves growing, not noticing any stem growth on laterals.
I’m pretty impressed with this relatively low-cost hepa fan (vs a laminar flow hepa) in a 4x4.
Next process step will be done with same fan in my normal cleanroom(spare bathroom). We’ll see if it can do similar job in 3-4x the space.
Happy also with my sterile tek, too; spillover from past work w fungi agar tek.
Have all supplies for next process step, just waiting for these tubes to get a couple more weeks on them.

So dudes, my long-term goal (we’ll see how long it takes and how close i get), is to develop another method that us regular reefer growers can use to trade great phenos thru mail without breaking the law, at least for countries that allow shipment of natural cannabis seeds.
I hope to eventually nail a simple, low-investment way to make synthetic seeds without pollinating a plant (a way that only requires callus cells, from almost any tissue of the plant: seed, ovule, pollen, growing tip, cambium). These types of seeds are already a proven tek, used by ag seed cos.

Anyone here have some experience with this?
