I bought units of both models from diff vendors, all of each style seem to be exactly the same, so go for least expensive one for each style.

The long-stem version seems to have some type of built in timer...haven’t spent the time to determine the cycle length...so, it needs monitoring.

The floater seems to put out more humidity, this one needs a timer to hold rh at your desired level.

I typically use 4L ultrasonics in my larger tents, will substitute one of these in my 3x3 with mama...see what happens.

My main question is how long do they last?

Btw, i’m using 220ppm tapwater, instructions say DON’T use distilled water....lots of back-n-forth on the interwebs about using tap vs distilled water in ultrasonics...many instances where ultrasonics don’t work well with low/no ppm water...

I like them...

but rh meter seems to be the weak link, have a bunch of them that lost accuracy over a year of use in high rh conditions...
