Do you have a picture of the dimmer your talking about or a link to it?
The driver must get its AC power from the dimmer not independently.
There’s a board behind the knob assembly and there’s an AC in and AC out?
Driver gets its power from AC out not from wall.
I’d have to see what dimmer your using but the problem sounds familiar and it’s a wiring issue.

If it's the standard Chinese white remote box dimmer which I think it is. Sadly it resets after every power off and is not compatible with a timer they should have told you this.
The standard Chinese 1 -10v box dimmer (non remote) fits perfectly in the housing and also works with a timer. But you'll loose your remote control. Hope this helps.
