The harvest is still being processed but I have some data already that I think is worth sharing. I want to point out that this operation is permitted.
The major caveat here is that we are using light movers. I cover about 20% more canopy with my lights on movers than I would otherwise. Another small caveat is that both rows of LED's had a couple plants of tangimal cookies that snuck in there and have not been processed at this time.

- A row of garden beds lit by (redacted) LED lights, on movers, produced (redacted) grams of processed bud (anything smaller than a dime in diameter we do not include in this count, nor do we include any trim). Each LED array is pulling about 630 watts when turned up to full power.

That's (redacted) grams from (redacted) watts. Approx 1.23 grams per watt. :D

- A second row of beds, lit by 2 of these F-series lights (again on movers) produced (redacted) grams from (redacted) watts of LED lighting. 0.84 grams/watt. This row of beds suffered from the light movers not being properly set-up during the first few weeks of flowering. I had an operation and was not able to dial it in correctly in a timely manner.

For comparison, running the same strain (mimosa) under Gavita 1000w Pro DE we normally get between 0.5 and 0.6 grams per watt. I have data coming soon for this strain under Gavitas on movers but I guarantee you it will still not be near the LED efficiency.

Data from a row of 4 stationary Gavitas, as well as, an additional row of LEDS is also forthcoming.

Average of all LED's was 1.03 grams/watt.
Average of all Gavitas was 0.703 g/watt

Two rows of garden beds (One 4x8 and one 4x5 bed total = 4'x13') each lit by 2 LED's on light movers suffered due to the delay in properly dialing-in the light movers. They yielded 1.02 g/watt and 0.84 g/watt.

The other row of LED lit garden beds (Two 4x8 and one 4x5) lit by 3 LED's on movers yielded 1.23 g/watt. This bed did not suffer from improper light mover set-up during the first few weeks of flowering. Also this bed had a few plants of tangimal cookies which were not added to it's yield at the time.

I do not plan to calculated grams/kilowatt hour but that would be a much better measure of efficiency.

Regarding growing with the Gavita 1000w Pro DE; I can absolutely achieve more "grams per watt", but this is accomplished by allowing longer veg times. Longer veg times mean only four runs per years instead of five. Maybe even only three runs per year, if you are targeting "3 lbs per light". In my neck of the woods, people like to use the measure of "pounds/light" which assumes that everyone uses Gavitas, and fails to consider the annual loss of yield or increased electrical use caused by long veg times.

Many thanks from a micro-tier rec grower from Oregon @randorson!! Nice to see some actual data with LED's for cannabis.

Finished my prototype EB Gen 2 build but haven't flowered with it yet as I was having some other production and technical issues, as well as I work another job given Oregon's market being shit for the previous couple years or so (the producer license moratorium is making things look up again though!)

I was actually wondering how effective light movers would be for LED fixtures. Do you think it helps with the overall efficiency? Could you provide a little more of a description on how you set those up? I would appreciate it!

Light movers absolutely increase efficiency! This is true regardless of the type of lighting you use. Remember that DLI (Daily light integral) is what plants really care about. Light movers allow you to cover ~ 30% more canopy space with your lights.

The basic set-up is covered in the instructions. I have used the same brand for over a decade.

I recommend the LightRail 4.20 kit for moving multiple lights on a single motor.

Awesome, thanks! Yeah that definitely makes sense and doing some research seems like I might able to save money on both additional fixtures and electricity using them. Before going recreational my operations were always very limited by space, so never bothered looking into them. I will take a look and follow up with a thread for more advice if I need it. Also on that note @randorson do you mind if I ask around how long were your veg times with these runs and do you veg with the same lights you flower with at lower intensities? Thanks!

Excellent. That's an impressive yield! To add to the question list, what amperage did you run on average and what is your set up in terms of series/parallels(if you don't mind divulging)?

Hi OP

I think you will get those numbers a lot higher, having seen yyields around 2g/watt done without breaking too much of a sweaat.

Does the light mover raise/lower? Our approach was to completely cover cannopy in low hanging leds (we use fotop boards, lm561c and with CO2, PPFD around 800-900 and about 30w per square foot) and it did really well.

If the light mover is hard to raise and lower it means you will be missing out on dialing in that part.

I allways thought light movers wasnt really for leds, more HID so you could hang a bulb low but not fry the cannopy. With led you can achieve this in easier ways thru design.

Obviously it has tthe drawback of not being able to leave the grow on its own as you will need to raise the light several times. But if your chasing g/w is the way to go.

Whaat did yield look like on a g/ square feet?
