Hello guys I need help from you. I've read tons of stuff about led lights, cobs and qb's. And I want to start growing on my own. I have unused cabinet 50x50x120 which I want to use as grow box. Planning on growing 1 (max 2 plants if I get wider box).
Question is what light would be best for that space? I don't have money for expensive lights so I want to build it on my own. I thought of 10 x Samsung LT-Q282A + driver but would it be enough? It uses lm301b led lights but power output only 5W per stripe, total of 50W. Or should I go with some cobs?
Could anybody guide me the right way? Any ideas appreciated!

You don't provide a unit of measurement so I'm going to assume this is a 1.5ft long x 1.5ft wide x 4ft tall space... Not sure what type of plants you plan on growing but that's not a lot of area, I would just get a single cob, or preferably a logic puck, heat-sink and 100W meanwell driver.Mindless wrote: ↑Sat Jun 20, 2020 7:05 pmHello guys I need help from you. Mindless, you need to look into a technique called Mainlining. It keeps plants short and much more manageable. The guy who developed the technique claims to have grown full-sized plants in just 3 feet of vertical space, so it's doable, height-wise.gvbz wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 6:34 pm

Your problem IMO will be the 1.5 sqft of deck space. Ideally in a space that small, the SoG (Sea of Green) method might work well, but you'd need a separate area to grow clones.
Whatever you decide, make sure to flower EARLY, like 2-3 weeks from seed, to keep it below 4 feet.
Speaking of flowering, have you considered odor control? Even where weed is legal, you want to keep the smell factor down to a minimum. Plan for that now, because you don't want to be forced to trash your stinky plant. GL.

You're quick, gvbz...you got this quote in before I corrected the color issue, lol.
